Combat-wounded Navy Corpsman Thomas Henderson, and his young family, recently moved-in to a mortgage-free, 100-percent handicapped-accessible home in Forney, Texas. Being presented with the keys to the four-bedroom home was the culminating event of another successful project by Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) foundation.
Since its inception in 2009, JAH4WW has completed handicap-accessible homes for eight injured U.S. military veterans and is in the process of building several more across the country in 2017. For the Forney, Texas project, JAH4WW teamed up with the Central South Carpenters Regional Council (CSCRC) to purchase and remodel the home so that it would suit the unique needs of Henderson, his fiancée, Ashtian, and their toddler son, Rowan.Read Complete Article
